NEXT endeavours not only to present and promote inspiring contemporary music but also to initiate new and intriguing musical (and musician) combinations. As part of the Next Visegrad Music Project, the festival featured several-day creative collaborations of artists hailing from different countries who had never played in the particular line-up before. The outcome of the first sonic laboratory V4 Sound Lab Show for 2008 is a meeting of Czech musician Petr Ferenc with Hungarian music-maker Péter Szabó and Slovak sound artist Monika Šubrtová.
