Through research into Palestinian rain-summoning songs, sound artist Bint Mbareh revives vocal traditions that helped communities to call upon rain, build environmental relationships and share resources collectively. Her performance shows that these ancestral singing practices are still relevant today, serving as active forces in the ongoing Israeli settler colonialism rather than merely as artefacts of the past.
