A musician, composer, and innovator from Hamburg, Andi Otto performs with his unique “Fello” system – a self-built sensor extension cello bow, developed in collaboration with the now-defunct but legendary electronic music lab STEIM in Amsterdam. In his performance, Otto modifies the sound through gestures around the cello, reminiscent of the evocative motions of a Theremin player. At NEXT, he will present a selection of his latest compositions in a partially improvised, dub-soaked, krautrock-influenced show.
