Veronika Škutová comes from Bratislava, she studied piano teaching and composition. Apart from composing for classical casts, creating music for films, theatre and dance performances, she is also involved in experimental electronic music and improvisation. Her music has been heard by audiences at festivals such as KRAA!, Orpheus and AsynChrónie.

At NEXT, she will premiere an audiovisual performance based on material from her electroacoustic album NGC 1909, which was created during the pandemic and released in early 2022. As a result of the “stuck at home” situation (reference to the title of one track), we will dive into intimate sonic textures made of processed samples, organically evolving drones and occasional repetitive melodic fragments.
