Producer and DJ originally from New Jersey, currently based in Philadelphia. She’s extremely versatile in her practice, equally comfortable with club and booty bounce sets, while also paying homage to her roots in the tradition of Middle Eastern dance music, or incorporating DIY noise and experimental sounds into her sets. DJ Haram has released work on Hyperdub both as a solo artist (Grace from 2019 fused Arabic percussion and instrumentation with intense bass pressure) and as one half of noise-rap duo 700 Bliss alongside Moor Mother (their debut album Nothing To Declare was released earlier this year). Her sets are all-inclusive affairs where uninhibited fun is unified with profound expressions of identity and culture.
