Radical computer-based artist, musician and programmer Tom Mudd is interested in relationships between software, composition and improvisation. His recent work revolves around physical models: digital synthesis processes based on numerical simulations of acoustic objects and instruments. With releases on Entr’acte, Fancyyyyy and Superpang exploring various aspects of algorithmic composition and digital synthesis, and a strong focus on the conceptual and technological processes involved, he has been widely recognised as one of the leading artists in his field. At NEXT Festival, he will perform alongside drummer Áron Porteleki.
